Covert Listening Devices

Covert listening devices are generally known as a bug or a wire. It consists of miniature radio transmitter and a microphone. It is generally used in police investigations. Mostly these devices use a radio transmitter but there are other device options available for carrying the signals. The radio frequencies can also be sent through building main wire system and can be collected outside or in main room.

Transmissions of a mobile or wireless device can also be monitored. It is also possible to capture the data from an ill functioned wireless computer network. Bugs come with different shapes and sizes. At the start the basic function of Covert listening devices was to relay the sound. But due to vast technology boost these are available to catch a television signals for commercial use. Now available these devices can be fit in pens and calculators and other daily used objects.

Some micro Covert listening devices are of the size of a small shirt buttons. Now it's possible to listen to an in car discussion by the Covert listening devices attached to the car tracking systems. But these devices are prohibited to use as it was appealed in court by the car owners. The technology has reached to a level where mobile phone microphones can be activated without even physical excess to the handset.

This device is mostly used by the law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies to maintain law and order in the region. Actually the interface soft ware is manipulated or over written so that the calls that are done on infiltrated program are not shown. A special feature is to accept the incoming call without showing on the mobile screen interface. But this feature is only possible when the mobile is not already having any communication.

Covert listening devices have the ability to make the calls and receive the calls even when the mobile phone is switched off. Actually when the mobile phone is switched off it is only a temporary stand by status but there is a soft ware working back hand in a clock alarm wise and it rings the alarm when a call comes and it can be intercepted and also any call can be made.

These devices are not only used for communication but also that it's possible to use the blue tooth device for data transfer from a certain mobile hand set. A general user can not notice that the mobile phone is used by someone else but an observant person can notice that the battery of the hand set is consumed when he or she did not use the set.

Covert listening devices are also used for recording the conversation rather than transmitting them. Mostly these devices are used as observations that are attached to a certain communication device to record all the conversations. Agent and security guards carry the microphone chips attached to a recording device for the data of conversations. And these microphone Covert listening devices are sometimes attached in the rooms especially in ceiling or anywhere else for the satisfaction of the purpose.

Cable Fiber Optic & Satellite TV - What's the Difference & How to Choose

Cable TV has been around since 1948 when it was started by John and Margaret Walson of Pennsylvania, and first referred to as community antenna television, which later became what we know today as cable TV. One of the reasons cable TV is so popular is because it's been around so long. It's the original pay-TV service, and the gold standard for all other technologies to follow. In fact, the first satellite distribution of a television show was delivered by HBO for a cable boxing event!

Emeritus H. Taylor Howard, a Stanford University Professor, and former NASA scientist then built the first satellite Dish. After attempting to pay HBO for the movies he had watched, HBO refused to accept the payment as it was against their policy to work with individuals, so Emerist did what any modern blogger might do today, and wrote a how-to manual on the system he had created. Shortly after that he began manufacturing parts for the system he had created with co-founder of Chaparral Communications Inc, Bob Taggart.

Satellite TV service was much cheaper than cable in the 80's, but the expense for a satellite system ranged between $10,000 to $3,000. Hardly a deal for the average Joe, but a superior choice to cable in that day if you could afford it. Fortunately, the price for satellite TV systems and service has dropped drastically, and made it possible for phone companies to offer digital television service along with their other products as part of a bundled package. That is until the recent adaptation of fiber optic TV service like AT&T's U-verse, and Verizon's FiOS. Fiber optics is a superior way to send data, since there is less loss of data, and it travels much faster, which brings us to the differences between cable TV, satellite TV, fiber optic TV, and how to choose between them.

Quality of TV Service, Price, and Availability

The first thing to consider is, of course, availability. It's moot point to decide which television package is best for you if you can't get it where you live. In most cases, satellite TV services like Dish Network, or DirecTV are available just about anywhere, so you can most likely add these to your choices for consideration. Cable and fiber, on the other hand, are very location and provider specific, so you might need to check to see who, if anyone, offers these services in your area.

After determining your options for possible providers, you might want to think of the quality of TV service you'll be receiving from a given provider. Factoid: Just because it's cable doesn't mean a better picture, better sound, or more reliable service. While it's true satellite TV may go out temporarily in inclimate weather, it happens with cable TV service too. If you're a cable subscriber, or have been one in the past, you already know this. I know you're not going to like this, and in this age of technology one would think there is a better way, but ask your neighbors about the quality of their TV service.

Finally, price. It's surprising how many people just go for the cheapest package they can find. Unless you simply don't watch a lot of TV, this isn't a good approach. There has to be a middle ground where price meets satisfaction. Do you enjoy movie channels? How about sports? Local channels? Do you want a DVR, and for how many TV sets? Do you have an HD TV set? Before you think about price, try to zero in on the features you're going to want. After you've made a list go ahead and run your price checks.

Which TV Service is Best

In my opinion, U-verse, or Fios, but that's my opinion. What's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander, so ultimately it comes down to your opinion, not mine. If you are looking for someone to tell you which TV service is best, all you're going to get is other people's opinions. I think if one follows the guidelines above, they'll be pretty happy in the long run. I will say U-verse has the best DVR on the market at this point, and with a TV signal over fiber optic you'll get less loss of picture and sound than with anything else you can get.

Features and Benefits of Regular Tube TVs

Traditional tube televisions go by a number of different names, including CRT televisions, tube televisions or simply direct view televisions. It is important to consider the features of each TV you are considering, and to make sure that the new regular tube TV is HDTV (high definition television) and DTV (digital television) read. It is also important to consider the size of the television. Traditional tube televisions are available in a wide variety of sizes, but most consumers who are considering a traditional tube television over a plasma or LCD TV will be looking for the largest size available.

Even though those sleek plasma displays and wall hanging LCD TVs get all the press, traditional tube televisions still have a number of important advantages in the modern world, including:

True Plug and Play Operation

It is hard to get a much simpler television set than a traditional tube TV. Assuming you have the power to get the TV into place, all you have to do is put the TV on a stand or in the entertainment center, connect the antenna or the cable TV signal and plug it in. This is certainly a great deal easier than hanging a wall mountable LCD or plasma TV, or setting a up a projector, a screen and a separate audio system.

Excellent Picture Quality

Even with the advent of plasma TV, LCD TV and DLP TV technology, traditional CRT televisions are still quite capable of delivering excellent picture quality, and these traditional tube TVs generally provide the best black level, shadow detail, contract and color performance of any TV. In many cases an HDTV tube television can provide superior image quality to the newer and more expensive varieties.

Lower Cost

While the costs of plasma and LCD televisions have come down quite a bit, most of them still retail for thousands of dollars. Traditional tube televisions in 23" and 25" sizes, on the other hand are priced in the hundreds of dollars. Even a large 36" widescreen CRT based HDTV ready TV typically retails for about $1,500. In contrast, a similar sized 37" LCD TV may be priced as high as $3,500. A traditional tube TV certainly offers a better value per viewing inch than either plasma, LCD or DLP.

No Problems with Ambient Light

Unlike some other types of televisions, a CRT television is very viewable with the room lights on, and it can be watched in a bright room without compromising the quality of the image.

Great Viewing Angle

The HDTV ready traditional tube TVs with flat screen tubes can be viewed from virtually any angle with little loss of picture quality. In viewing angle a traditional tube TV can be just as good as a flat screen TV like a plasma or LCD model, and they have a better viewing angle than rear projection technology like DLP TVs.

Maintenance-Free Operation

Unlike plasma, LCD and DLP varieties, the traditional CRT television has no lamps or filters to change, a long life expectancy, and no maintenance requirements.

Of course all is not perfect when it comes to traditional tube televisions, and there is certainly a reason why alternative technologies such as plasma, LCD and DLP have been making such inroads into the world of the traditional tube TV. Among the disadvantages of the traditional tube TV are:

Size and Weight

A typical 36" CRT tube TV measures a full two feet deep and can weigh more than 200 pounds, compared to the 3" depth and 50 pound weight of a typical 37" LCD TV. A traditional tube TV will require far more floor space than a similarly sized LCD or plasma TV. In addition, the weight of the traditional tube television makes it quite difficult and cumbersome to move.

Image Size

While the largest traditional tube television on the market have a diagonal size of about 38", LCD, plasma and DLP TVs are much larger. In addition, while LCD, DLP and plasma displays keep getting larger there is expected to be no further growth in the size of tube televisions. The size and weight of the CRT TV makes it very difficult to move beyond the current size limitation.

Old Technology

Rightly or wrongly, the traditional tube television is perceived to be yesterday's technology, and it certainly lacks the cool factor that the newer technologies bring with them. Even with this perception, however, there is nothing wrong with the technology itself. CRT television technology has served millions of consumers around the world, and there is no reason the technology cannot last years into the future. The advent of HDTV and DTV ready models can extend the life and the usefulness of this "old" technology far into the future.

No matter what type of TV you decide to purchase, however, it is important to shop around carefully in order to get not only the best price but the best overall value as well. When purchasing a traditional tube television it is a good idea to look for modern touches to this existing technology. Those modern touches include such things as flat picture tubes for clearer pictures, HDTV and DTV ready technology for future expansion and the availability of several different inputs for greater versatility. Some models of traditional tube televisions accept inputs not only from antennas, cable and satellite systems but from computer monitors, video games and other sources as well.

As with any technology purchase, it is important to shop around for the best possible deal when shopping for a new CRT television. Despite the growing popularity of LCD, plasma and DLP technology, it is the traditional tube television that still commands the largest market share, and this means there are plenty of models to choose from. Virtually every maker of electronics in the world makes at least a few traditional tube televisions, so comparing brands and models should be a snap.

With entertainment permeate our everyday lives and the non-stop technology advancements, Car DVD players have found way to our most common transportation- automobile. The good result is that we will never worry about how to kill the boring time when on road, the bad result is you and your family are more dangerous than before. Choose the right Car DVD player Types according to your needs and buying capacity.
There are mainly four car DVD/monitors on the markets now - In-dash DVDs(in-car DVDs), Sun Visor DVDs, Roof mount DVDs(flip down DVDs) and Head rest Monitors(back seat monitors). In-dash DVDs that to be installed into car dashboard are driver's good friends by providing GPS navigation, car reverse safety camera and surround sound entertainment. Sun visor DVDs are designed to entertain front seat passenger while they can also block some direct sunlight when you are heading toward the sun. Roof mount DVDs are now the most popular car entertainments devices as they can keep the whole atmosphere delightful. MotoSat Satellite Internet, HDTV and Television Systems for Motor homes

It is common knowledge with FMCA Members and Motor Home owners that the best HDTV Satellite Systems and Mobile Internet Satellite systems for Recreational Vehicles are MotoSat Systems. Recently, I read an online article addressing this issue from a user and I have to say to these comments; Indeed MotoSat kicks butt. I have TV and Internet using their systems. What I have been most impressed with is the reliability.

Only once did I ever have a problem and I called MotoSat Tech Support and they fixed it trouble-shooting me over the phone. I made an error and they were able to help me reset the system. Wow, what a great company and they have some of the nicest dealers around the country to assist you. They must do a lot of screening to find all these great people.

Why is MotoSat so great some wonder? I myself have considered this after Beta Testing their first set of Internet Satellite Antennas as they Teamed up with Hughes as pioneers in these systems. Of course knowing the Founders myself, I can say that they had a pretty good run for 15 years the prior with their famous MotoSat TV antennas and now they even have HDTV Satellite Systems now? Who would have known, you could have such reliability in the Murphy Driven and persnickety world of mobile electronics?
